Does Imran Khan know that terrorism is a crime?

During the release of his autobiography in 1994, Imran Khan shared his experience of how he had involved in occasionally tampering the ball and lifting the seam to get the ball to swing. It was so unfortunate that so many modern cricketers get banned for similar acts while an open admission of such a thing went unnoticed by the ICC Council.

Or perhaps that Imran Khan and the bowlers of his era had not known that ball tampering was against ICC Code of Conduct. He could have possibly realized later in his life and got the courage to admit it before the media. A great gesture of magnanimity!! Or is it not?

That was really not magnanimous for he had been not an average player, but a champion in the sport winning World Cup for his team. What the opponents would have lost because of his illegal act could not be compensated just by admitting his mistake.

Talking about the second innings in his life, the political innings, today he seem to be defending the terrorists in his own region. His gesture towards India in releasing India's Wing Commander might create an impression that Imran Khan wants a peaceful relationship between the countries, but it is not so.

If peace was the intention, he should have acted to put the terrorists behind the bar, when JeM claimed over the Pulwama attack. He was silent. At least he should have responded based on the admission by the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif that ISI allowed LeT to attack Mumbai. He was silent. Even after the admission by the former President of Pakistan, Pervez Musharraf that his Intel was using JeM to carry out activities across the border, Imran Khan has not responded.

Perhaps, he wants to make peace with terrorists or he might just follow the quote that "forgiving is the biggest punishment that can be given to a culprit".

Comparing his response to terrorism with his experiences in cricket, it looks like he might think today that terrorism is not aa crime similar to how he did not know that ball tampering was illegal in the past. He might even be thinking that all countries have the right to use terrorism whenever military cannot take open actions.

There could be a second autobiography, called "A Peaceful Deal", where he might show his magnanimity yet again by revealing his peaceful relationships with terrorists.
